Who are Focus Staff's medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits through?
Only the best! Blue Cross Blue Shield, PPO, so you don't have to mess with all that referral stuff to see specialists. BCBS of course, has one of the largest networks available in the US. We have three different medical plans to choose from, depending on your needs, and two different dental plans. We also offer vision insurance thru BCBS. You are also eligible for a term life insurance policy with Focus Staff.

How much does it cost?
Depends on the plan you select. All of our insurance plan costs, are deducted pre-tax so you pay for your insurance before Uncle Sam takes a bite.

This is a good thing! The costs for each plan are outlined in the Summary Plan attachment here on this page.
When does insurance start? When does it end?
Insurance starts the day you start your assignment. Conversely, insurance ends when you end your assignment. If your next assignment starts within two weeks of the previous one ending, then there will be no interruption of your plan.

Our goal, is always to have you employed and have you covered! If you do take a break between assignments, the employee portion would be recouped on the new assignment at the beginning.

Keep in mind, if there is a lapse, then we always have day one insurance once you start your subsequent assignment.
How and when do I get my actual insurance card?
You will be mailed the physical Blue Cross Blue Shield card to the mailing address you put on the application. We will also email you a temporary ID for you to have immediately.

For vision insurance, you will be emailed a link, where you can access your benefits as well as your card.
When can I make changes to my insurance plan/selections?
You can make changes at open enrollment which is the month of December (exact dates will be communicated closer to open enrollment).

You can also make changes should you experience a life-changing event such as; marriage, divorce, or death.

While on assignment, and during assignment you, unfortunately, can not make any modifications to your plan, except to cancel at end of the month.
What about 401k? I'd like to save for my retirement.
Yes! We do have a 401k. It's very easy to sign up for as well.

To be eligible, you must complete 90 days of employment and then wait for the 1st of the quarter thereafter.

The first of the quarter dates are January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. You can easily sign up via your Paychex log-in. There are also instructions attached on this page for your review. As always, we are here to help you through this if you have any questions.

Does Focus Staff match on the 401k program?
Yes we do. We match 100% on the first 3% deferred, and 50% on the remaining 4% deferred.
For example. If you defer $1000 in a calendar year. Focus Staff's match would be $30 (100% on the first 3%) and $20 (50% on the remaining 4%) for a total of $50. Clear as muddy water?? I know. This stuff is confusing.
